American River Girls Softball Fall Ball

American River Girls Softball's Fall Ball program runs from August 5th through November 3rd.

Fall Ball is slightly more competitive than the traditional spring season, as it is an inter-league program. The ARGSA teams compete against teams from other leagues in the Sacramento Region.

The season begins with a Seeding Tournament and ends with the Down-n-Dirty Tournament. Between these tournaments, teams will play approximately 10 games. These games are typically double-headers played in a round-robin, and they are all held on SUNDAYS. Most teams can expect to play at our home fields at Oakview for one game -- all others will be AWAY games at locations ranging from Davis, to Placerville, to Woodland.

Teams will begin practicing around the first week of August and most will practice twice each week throughout the season. Practice days will be determined by field and manager availability.

If you have any questions regarding Fall Ball, please contact Brigitte Porter at fallball@argsa.org.

Registration

Registration for Fall Ball 2024 will be open from May 18th through July 31st.

Volunteers Needed

If you are interested in coaching for the Fall Ball season, please send an email to fallball@argsa.org expressing your interest one of the following volunteer positions: Manager, Coach, or Assistant Coach. Please also include which age division you'd like to serve. Once you are selected as a coach/volunteer, you will receive information to complete the background check process.

All volunteers must be background checked and complete online SafeSport training prior to being assigned to a team.  If you volunteered on a team during the Spring season, that training clearance and background check is no longer valid and must be repeated to ensure the safety of our players in this new season.  The league will cover the cost of clearing 3 volunteers per team.
