American River Girls Softball Needs You!

The success of our program depends fully on the willingness of parents and families to donate their time and talents to our players and teams. There are many ways you can help!

* Field Work Days -- come out to the fields at the beginning of our season and help with weeding and field conditions. No special skills needed. Just bring your rakes, shovels, and work gloves!

* Pre-Game Field Prep -- clean up the field prior to games. This involves leveling the infield and chalking the infield lines. The video linked below shows the basics.

* Scorekeeping -- maintain the score book for your team. Each team has a score book that they use to record each girl's at bat, number of outs and runs, and final score for each game.

* Snack Bar Shifts -- support the financial health of our league by working a shift in the Snack Bar. Contact snackbar@argsa.org to sign up!

* Team Parenting -- volunteer to serve as your player's Team Parent. This involves purchasing/ordering team items such as socks and a team banner, organizing the team's gift basket for the Opening Day basket raffle, and planning an end of the year celebration.

* Coaching/Assistant Coaching -- every team needs good coaches. Help the players learn basic skills, rules of game play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for the game!

* Board Positions -- The Board is always looking for motivated members of our ARGSA community to work toward constant improvement of our league. Board Positions are available now!
